Building “The Bridge” Together
As of Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, The Bridge has successfully passed all inspections. We will get our Certificate of Occupancy and begin to move into our new building. God is so good! We will begin to worship in the new building September 27, 2025.

Over ten years ago, the Woodbridge Seventh-day Adventist Church took a bold step of faith, selling our building to make room for something new. We envisioned a welcoming, dedicated space for worship and community at 14605 Dumfries Rd. Despite pauses along the way, our dream reignited with the passion and dedication of Pastor George E. Thornton, Sr., whose vision for our new home lifted us up. Known to many as “The Bridge,” our church family has worked hard to keep this spirit alive, even after Pastor Thornton’s passing in 2022.

Pastor Maxwell Ferguson took up Pastor Thornton’s mantle and led us to our groundbreaking ceremony on July 7, 2024. While we were without a pastor in the fall of 2024 through mid-2025, the Building Committee, led by Elder LaMarcus Brown, continued the work. Month by month, we saw progress, bringing our vision of a dedicated space for worship, fellowship, and outreach to life.

How You Can Help
Building a church home is more than constructing a building; it’s about creating a lasting foundation for faith, fellowship, and service. Every gift you contribute to our Building Fund brings us closer to opening our doors, expanding our reach, and welcoming more people into our community.

Please consider making a meaningful gift. The building is complete, but we still need your help to bring us across the finish line. You can donate using Zelle, directly from your bank account. Please indicate your wish to give to our building fund by noting “building fund” or “Operation Occupy.” You can also donate via CashApp. Our CashApp tag is $OperationOccupy.
