Health Ministry

We believe that God is deeply interested in the health and well-being of humanity and that He wants to use His church as a special agent of healing to relieve suffering and reveal His love. - Adventist Health Ministries

Health Ministry at The Bridge is dedicated to promoting physical, mental, and spiritual well-being within our congregation and the broader community. Through educational programs, health screenings, and wellness activities, we aim to empower individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to lead healthier lives. Our mission is to nurture a holistic approach to health that honors the body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, fostering a supportive environment where everyone can thrive.

Honoring God Through Health

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

As believers, we are called to be good stewards of the bodies God has entrusted to us. Caring for our physical health is not vanity, but worship—an act of gratitude for the precious gift of life we’ve received.

Small, consistent changes can transform our wellbeing. Start each day with nutritious foods that fuel both body and spirit. Choose whole grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables that provide lasting energy for serving others. Stay hydrated throughout the day, remembering that our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Regular physical activity strengthens not only our muscles but our resolve. Whether it’s a morning walk while praying, gardening as an act of creation care, or playing with children and grandchildren, movement brings joy and vitality to our lives.

Rest is equally important. God modeled rest on the seventh day, showing us that renewal is essential. Prioritize sleep, manage stress through prayer and meditation, and create boundaries that protect your peace.

Consider forming health accountability groups within our church family. Together, we can encourage one another in making wise choices, sharing healthy recipes, and celebrating progress.

Remember, pursuing health isn’t about perfection—it’s about honoring the One who created us and equipping ourselves to serve His kingdom with strength and vitality.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” – Proverbs 31:25
